1. A social theory or political movement supporting ethnic equality in all aspects of life (especially in the context of Latin@s living in the US, in the 21st century)
2. Organized activity on behalf of Latino Civil Rights
3. The individual and group stories and experiences of US Latin@s
4. The Latin@ process of story telling & history writing
5. The appreciation of all facets of Latino culture
6. The realization that ALL members of society play a valuable and vital role in that community’s development
